Avant Première Talk ‘Completing Beethoven’s 10th Symphony with Ai’

For the Beethoven year 2020, Deutsche Telekom in cooperation with The Mindshift will complete the composer's 10th Symphony with Artificial Intelligence. Creativity is one of the great mysteries of the human mind. The emergence of so-called Creative AI pushes the boundaries of human imagination and opens up new possibilities of human-computer collaboration. At the same time, it is a topic of concern to many and creates a lot of dispute around what true creativity is. The presenters will give an overview of the project and discuss its implications for musicians, technologists and the public at large.

This Avant Première Talk is held in the course of the Programme Focus "Innovation Day".

Matthias Röder

Co-founder + Managing Partner at The Mindshift and CEO at Karajan Institute

Röder co-founded The Mindshift, a consultancy on creative leadership + innovation management. Furthermore, Röder is the CEO of the Karajan Institute, a board member of the Karajan Foundation and a trustee of the Mozarteum Foundation, as well as founder of the Karajan Music Tech Conference and co-founder of the Sonophilia Network for Creative Leaders.

Michael Schuld

Senior Vice President of Business Unit TV & Entertainment at Telekom Deutschland

Michael Schuld’s key responsibilities at Telekom Deutschland include the E2E responsibility for the MagentaTV product, such as its development, technology, content, strategy to name a few. Prior to this, he held various positions in procurement and sales marketing of a trading company in consumer electronics and telecommunications.
