Avant Première Talk ‘Immersive/Interactive Sound for TV + Streaming’

Presented by Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS

The MPEG-H Audio system delivers enveloping immersive sound and allows consumers to choose between different audio presets or to adjust the dialogue volume. Regardless of the device, MPEG-H Audio delivers the best sound experience possible – in the home theatre as well as on smartphones, tablets and Virtual Reality devices. It is designed to work in streaming systems as well as in existing + future broadcast systems. The presentation will show these features and their benefits for producers + users on example of productions like the Eurovision Song Contest and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig.

This Avant Première Talk is held in the course of the Programme Focus "Innovation Day". Furthermore, Avant Première Participants can experience the immersive + interactive sound of the MPEG-H Audio system live in a Special Presentation on Tuesday, 25 February, 12:00-19:00 in the Reindeer Room.
