Peter Maniura

IMZ Academy Director, Project Director Classical Archive and Orchestras Digital Strategy at BBC Music

Currently working on a major project to open up the BBC’s archive of Classical Music, Peter Maniura has also launched two new online arts services for the BBC in the past few years. In 2014 he was the Launch Director of BBC Arts Online, the live and on demand service which aggregates the BBC's Arts coverage across all its services and works extensively with partner organisations in the British arts sector. In 2012 he was the Curator of the new BBC/Arts Council England digital online arts service "The Space" which promotes digital innovation and creativity across the art forms. Prior to this he was Head of Television Classical Music and Performance for the BBC from 1998-2012, and has pursued an extensive international career as a TV director and producer.

Miranda Harmer

Chair at Conservatoires UK Student Network

Nominated as “One to Watch” in the Northern Power Women Awards 2018, Mimi is a postgraduate student at Leeds College of Music, currently studying composition and cello performance. She is the current Chair at Conservatoires UK Student Network; and was recently appointed as an Ambassador for the Creative Industries Federation in 2018, as well as an external expert for the Association of European Conservatoires in 2019.

John Kieser

Executive Vice President and Provost at New World Symphony

Since 2015, John oversees Musician Advancement, Communications, Community, Audience Engagement, and Digital Media at the New World Symphony. His work in developing concert formats is designed to both attract new audiences and develop the skills of the Fellows. Prior to this, John was with the San Francisco Symphony as General Manager where his responsibilities included strategic planning and management of presentations, facilities, capital improvements, touring, retail and union negotiations. While at the San Francisco Symphony, he created SFS Media which produced the multi-media project Keeping Score, Grammy© award winning recordings and has won Emmy Awards for The San Francisco Symphony at 100 and Sweeney Todd.

Yury Revich


In his twenties, violinist Yury Revich is already a multi-faceted artist of incredible depth, maturity and creativity. Winner of an ECHO Klassik 2016 “Newcomer of the Year” award, “Young Artist of the Year 2015” at the International Classical Music Awards and “Young Musician of the Year” by the Beethoven Center Vienna, he is one of the most expressive and versatile musicians of his generation. With 18 years old Yury made his debut at Carnegie Hall with Daniil Trifonov, later on in La Scala with Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto and his concerts since then have included performances at the Berlin Philharmonie, Berlin Konzerthaus, Vienna Musikverein, Zurich Tonhalle, Vienna Konzerthaus, Leipzig Gewandhaus, BOZAR Brussels and Tchaikovsky Concert Hall Moscow amongst many others while his recordings to date are featured on labels such as Sony Classical as well as a recording with ARS records for which he won his ECHO Klassik Award. He also lives out his creativity in the film medium and has studied directing, acting and has already produced two short films of his own.

Christopher Widauer

Head of Digital Development at Vienna State Opera

Christopher Widauer has a background as Lecturer at the Salzburg University and Director of international music festivals. In 2010 he joined Vienna's City Commissioner for Cultural Affairs as Head of Performing Arts Department, where he developed a Digital Cultural Content Strategy before becoming Head of Digital Development at the Vienna State Opera. In this function, he and his teams established the Vienna State Opera as a fully independent producer and distributor of high-class full HD digital content. Christopher was responsible for the design and setup of state of the art infrastructure - remote cameras, new audio and video studios, inhouse watermarking, encoding and transcoding technology -, the development of a complex software solution with backend, CMS, website, mobile and SmartTV Apps and synchronized Second Screen content, and was in charge of recruiting and training new staff members and setting up appropriate workflows.

Martin Zimper

Head of Cast / Audiovisual Media at Design Department of the Zurich University of the Arts

Martin is Founder and Head of “Cast/ Audiovisual Media”, Department Design. His field of studies researches, experiments and teaches on the edge of audiovisual media and social media. His students and staff create, produce and distribute audiovisual stories for screen-based devices from tablets to VR glasses. 

Furthermore, Martin created the 5-day-course “Social Media for artists and designers” at Zurich University of the Arts, produced a social media based livestream of “Concours Géza Anda” (International pianist’s award), won “Best of Swiss App” (Category Entertainment) with an iPad-App for the Opera House Zurich, and was Executive Producer of 29 Art Docs for the European ArtBiennial “Manifesta11”.
