Avant Première has a new home
Avant Première is the world’s leading trade fair for performing arts on screen. Featuring the latest music + dance film productions, an extensive conference programme and networking opportunities. Starting in 2027, we'll gather in the historic MuseumsQuartier, one of the largest cultural districts in the world, right in the heart of the city.
New music and dance documentaries, artist portraits, concerts, and live recordings—from classical music to contemporary and pop—accompanied by Q&A sessions.
Sessions with industry experts on topics ranging from public service media and sustainability to emerging formats, new platforms, and virtual reality.
Meet key players from broadcasting, distribution, streaming, festivals, funding, and the creative sector, including filmmakers, artists, and rights holders.
Selected performing arts documentary projects are pitched to an international jury. The winning project receives a €5,000 cash prize. More info to come.
Here's what to keep in mind as you plan for Avant Première 2027. From 28 September to 28 October, you can register at the early bird rate and submit your productions for the catalogue. If you're preparing a performing arts documentary pitch, you'll have a bit more time – submissions remain open until 23 November.
