Alexander Ekman's ballet A Midsummer Night's Dream – created for the Royal Swedish Ballet to music by Mikael Karlsson. In 2015, Alexander Ekman gave his own version of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and it immediately became a hit for the audience and critics. This powerful contemporary ballet explores the energy and the mysteries of the summer solstice night in Scandinavian tradition. In addition to the dancers from the Royal Ballet, nine musicians participate on stage, including acclaimed pop singer Anna von Hausswolff and a classical string quartet.
