Avant Première Talk ‘The Perfect Place – A 360 Ballet’
PRESENTED BY SCOTTISH BALLET AND BBC ARTS DIGITAL
“The Perfect Place” tells the story of a couple looking to recapture the spark they once had. By delving deeper into the life of a seemingly perfect relationship, it explores the emptiness and regret behind the façade. Scottish Ballet partnered with the BBC to create "The Perfect Place" using 360° technology as a new way to experience narrative dance online. It is the first film of its kind, with choreography and narrative created specifically for the medium. It is collaboration between Scottish Ballet’s CEO/Artistic Director Christopher Hampson, choreographer Sophie Laplane, BBC Arts Digital director Laura-Jane McRae and BBC 360 producer Edwin Wyatt. It was part of Scottish Ballet’s inaugural Digital Season, Under The Skin.
This Avant Première Talk is held in the course of the Programme Focus "Innovation Day".
