Avant Première Talk ‘Immersive Sound’
Presented by Eliette und Herbert von Karajan Institute and Radio France
When creating immersive sound experiences, one actively includes the dimension of space to the field of creative methods. This Avant Première Talk explores various examples where sound and space are combined to create more intense experiences for listeners and viewers. Examples will be drawn from Radio France's recent projects as well as the Karajan Institute's cinematic remix of Herbert von Karajan's productions.
This Avant Première Talk is held in the course of the Programme Focus "Innovation Day".
SPEAKER
Hervé Dejardin
Sound Engineer in charge of development of immersive sound at Radio France
This autodidact works in the quality + innovation department of Radio France for the development of immersive sound. Hervé also actively participated in the BILI (Binaural Listening) research consortium and works specifically on production and object-oriented audio distribution. Even the electroacoustic pieces he composes are spatialised! A passion, almost a religion! With - as he says himself - always the same desire: to offer the most beautiful space possible to the imagination.
