An immersive journey inside Wagner’s temple in Bayreuth
The Art Stories 360° series offers an immersive experience at the heart of the most beautiful sites that marked European art history. From Fontainebleau to the Chauvet cave via Aachen, the series takes the audience on a spectacular journey in these landmarks.
Das Totale Tanz Theater – The 360° Music Video
The question about the relationship between man and machine had been already asked by Bauhaus and becomes a 3-dimensional, audiovisual experience in this interactive virtual reality dance installation, with choreography by Richard Siegal and music by Einstürzende Neubauten.
Immersive Sound
When creating immersive sound experiences, one actively includes the dimension of space to the field of creative methods. This Avant Première Talk explores various examples where sound and space are combined to create more intense experiences for listeners and viewers.
Mirages – An innovative exploration combining arts and technologies
This Avant Première Talk is about using innovative technologies to create world class art, using the example of the production “Mirages” - a production where the basis lies in music and the visual world is realised by using green screen, virtual studio and motion capture techniques.
The Future of Media in Autonomous Cars
As cars will become autonomous, passengers will have more time and attention for interacting with media. How will the consumption and creation of music change in this environment? How will music be visualised in the future?
The Migration of Content Consumption
This talk will give a comprehensive overview of the global VR industry and the landscape of VR content creation. Furthermore, the historical perspective of content consumption will be assessed and the impact of virtual reality on the entertainment industry analysed.
The Virtual Konzerthaus – Opportunities for Digital Cultural Mediation
The Konzerthaus Berlin became the first concert hall in Germany to open a digital exhibition, including the augmented reality app “Konzerthaus Plus” and virtual reality glasses. The exhibition is visited by about 10,000 guests monthly, with an additional 15,000 schoolchildren arriving each season.
Tributes to Beethoven - A Series of 32 Sonata Films
At the occasion of Beethoven’s 250th anniversary, 32 pianists from around the world team up with 32 filmmakers for an integral sonata as we have never seen or heard.

Head of Mission Innovation at ARTE
Kay Meseberg has worked on many award-winning digital productions since the 90s. He joined ARTE in 2013, where he contributed to the first ever VR-documentary “Polar Sea 360” and now works on immersive media as well as leads the Mission Innovation. Kay is also a visiting lecturer for the Center of Collaborative Arts + Media at Yale University and innovation Ambassador for the IMZ.
