You guessed it! Avant Première 2019 shines a special spotlight on performing arts documentaries and offers filmmakers the possibility to take their projects further!
The call for proposals yielded an incredible amount + quality of projects, the five best proposals will pitch directly to international decision makers at Avant Première and subsequently at Sunny Side of the Doc!

At Sunny Side of the Doc, the internationally renowned market place for documentary + factual content, Jean-Jacques Peretti is in charge of the editorial line together with their CEO Yves Jeanneau. As such he organises panels, case studies and pitching sessions. Previously, Jean-Jacques has worked in Paris as a production manager with many companies for ten years.
Henk van der Meulen
Principal at Royal Conservatoire The Hague
From 1995-2008, Henk had been Head of the Music and Dance Department of NPS – Netherlands Programme Service, a public broadcaster with special responsibilities towards arts and culture. Henk is Principal of the Royal Conservatoire and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Management of the University of the Arts The Hague.

Emma has worked in TV for more than 20 years during which she has gained experiences as a producer, director and exec. She has produced arts programming across all channels in the UK as well as for the US.
Anaïs Clanet
General Manager at Wide House
Anaïs Clanet has been involved with the cinema industry since 2005, working for the website www.allocine.com, where she conducted interviews and covered press screenings to supply the database with documentary titles. In 2007, she became Head of Sales and Acquisitions at Wide Management and took care of the fiction sales department as well. Anaïs Clanet later opened Wide House, an independent documentary organization focused on documentary sales. The current highlights are I AM NOT YOUR NEGRO by Raoul Peck, THE RAFT by Marcus Lindeen, THE MENS CHOIR by Petter Sommer & Jo Vemund Svendsen and RENZO PIANO, THE ARCHITECT OF LIGHT by Carlos Saura.

Ali has been working at ARTE France since 2004 as senior commissioning editor before becoming the Deputy Head of the Arts Department alongside Director Emelie de Jong.
Emelie Persson
Commissioning Editor at SVT – Swedish Televison
Emelie is a commissioning editor for arts + culture docs at K special, the award-winning slot for the world’s most influential arts documentaries. Prior to that, Emelie had been working as a producer and host of cultural programmes. She also is a culture journalist and art historian.
Roberto Pisoni
Head of Sky Arte HD at Sky Italia
Roberto has worked for Sky Cinema’s channels, in Sky Italia in the Production Department, the Creative Department, and contributed to the channel’s branding activities. Prior to that, he worked as author, director and promo producer for the Italian channel Studio Universal. Since 2015 he is also Head of Sky Arts Production Hub, the international commissioning and production center of cultural content.
