EFM Screening ‘Touched’

Presented by Tanzrauschen

Pina Bausch, the world-famous dancer, choreographer and director of the Tanztheater Wuppertal, died in June 2009. She left one of the most important artistic legacies - not only in dance. But why is her legacy still important for us? “touched” is a short film told from the perspective of Marc Wagenbach, personal assistant to Pina Bausch in the period before her passing. An intimate approach to Pina Bausch and her influence on the urban communities, the everyday life and memories of the citizens of Wuppertal. “touched” is a film about identity and loss, individual and collective transformation: a counter-archive in the field of dance heritage.

This film will be presented along with “Fracture (Särö)” by Malakta Films.
