22 February, 12:15-12:45
La Scala TV
The streaming platform lascala.tv will provide access to new shows every year (operas, ballets, concerts and recitals) both live streamed and on demand.
The project will launch on February 14th, 2023 with the live stream of the new production of Giuseppe Verdi’s I Vespri siciliani, conducted by Fabio Luisi and directed by Hugo de Ana.
To provide the right infrastructure for streaming, Teatro alla Scala installed an innovative system of cutting-edge 4K cameras in the Piermarini Hall, remotely controlled so as not to impact the aesthetics of the hall, or the spectators’ experience.
The digitalized performances, enhanced with exclusive features, will create an invaluable archive for future generations, featuring subtitles in different languages to maximize accessibility for international audiences.
