Arts and Culture Pitching Session

We are interested in stories exploring any aspect of the performing arts - be it performances/ concerts staged under special/ unconventional circumstances, documentaries focusing on any music, dance or art content, expression of current socio-politic developments through (performing) art, films about any form of culture expressed in dance, music and dramatic ritual, etc.

 

DURATION OF PITCH


Each pitch lasts 15 minutes overall, with 5 minutes earmarked for a brief presentation of the project including a trailer and 10 minutes reserved for a Q&A with the Expert Jury and the audience of industry professionals.

Expert of the Polish Film Institute. From 2016 Head of Documentary Films Production Unit in TVP (Polish Public TV). From 2020 Documentary Films and Archives Commissioning Editor in TVP.

Erkko Lyytinen

Commissioning Editor, Finnish Public Broadcaster YLE

Erkko Lyytinen is working as a producer in Yle's Co-production department. He is focusing on domestic and international feature length documentary films. He is currently partly producing and programming for the feature documentary slot for YLE Channel TV-1. He has also produced several television series such as the award winning Couch Surfers and The Marshall of Finland. During 2008-2011 Lyytinen acted as the Artistic Director of DocPoint - Helsinki Documentary Film Festival.

Francesca Nesler

Head of Classical Music, Rai

Francesca Nesler is the head of classical music for the Culture and Education department at Rai, and is in charge of programming the content on Rai's thematic and generalist channels. In addition to this she coordinates the offer and production from Italian theatres.

Karine Papazian

Program Adviser TV and Online content @ RTS Radio Television Suisse

Karine Papazian is responsible for and specialized in the programming strategy, the selection and commercial negotiation of licensed content, broadcasting and online rights, for lifestyle, pop culture and entertainment shows for Radio Television Suisse (RTS). Her expertise spans the entire production lifecycle, providing support for the development of new, creative and innovative content.

PATRICK MAO HUANG

Producer, Flash Forward Entertainment

Patrick Mao Huang, a Taiwanese film producer and founder of Flash Forward Entertainment, studied at the American Film Institute and Columbia University. Specializing in East-West co-productions, his film TIGER STRIPES won the Grand Prix at Cannes' 2023 Semaine de la Critique. His other works include IN THE MORNING OF LA PETITE MORT, MONEYBOYS, SUBURBAN BIRDS, and THE ROAD TO MANDALAY. Huang also creates immersive experiences, with his AR experience COLORED showcased at the Pompidou Center and the 2023 Tribeca Festival. He is renowned for mentoring in international film labs and markets.
