Conference Programme Open Call

The Avant Première Conference Programme is filled with international experts and artists who share their vision for the industry. These sessions offer an open forum for discussing current challenges, identifying emerging risks, and uncovering new opportunities across the industry.

Now, the floor is yours! For Avant Première 2027, we invite industry professionals, artists, and visionaries to contribute to the programme.

We welcome proposals on organisational, artistic, financial, or technological developments in the audiovisual performing arts sector, including but not limited to:

• Changing models of funding, distribution, and co-production in the digital era
• Audience development and engagement through digital platforms
• New approaches to performing arts filmmaking
• Sustainability in production practices
• The impact of emerging technologies on music and dance
• New developments in VR, 360° media, and immersive sound and visual experiences

Choose the format that best suits your idea, whether it's a lecture, keynote, workshop, or another session format.

Selection process

The IMZ Selection Committee will review all submissions and select the sessions for the Avant Première 2027 Conference Programme. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by mid-October 2026. Please note that participation does not include a complimentary event ticket. Selected speakers are required to register for Avant Première and will receive a discounted registration rate as a thank you for their contribution.

Developing your proposal

Your proposal doesn't need to be fully developed at the time of submission. If your idea is selected, we will work with you to refine the session, including its format, speakers, and moderation, where appropriate.
