New media poses challenges but also opportunities for the Opera that have to be met with relevant strategies in order to thrive in the digital age.

Focus on new approaches to filming full-length opera performances.

11:00-12:00 Presentation “Social Media Insights“ by Peter Maniura
Social Media is a phenomenon which cannot be ignored in communicating with our audience. Peter Maniura looks at the implications of the explosion in social media and offers some thoughts on best practice and interacting with the audience.
12:00-13:00 Case Study 2: Agnieszka Kłopocka, Project Leader of "The Opera Platform" at the Polish National Opera
Best practice in building a successful digital campaign around a live stream.

Participants divide into groups and work together on the assigned practical task.

Each group presents their results and findings.

Peter Maniura leads the discussion to summarize what we have learned over the past two days and how this can be applied in our professional lives when we get back home.
