Presentation "Telling your story in a digital world" by IMZ Academy Director Peter Maniura

14:00-15:00 Introduction Round

Participants briefly summarise the current digital + media strategy of their institution/the media curriculum for their students

15:00-15:15 Break

15:15-16:15 Presentation by Christopher Widauer
As Head of Digital Development at the Vienna State Opera, Christopher Widauer sheds light on the employer's perspective and presents new career opportunities for musicians trained in media skills.

16:15-17:15 Presentation by Martin Zimper
Martin Zimper, Head of Cast / Audiovisual Media at Design Department of the Zurich University of the Arts shares his best-practice in setting up transdisciplinary courses.

17:15-17:30 Outlook on tomorrow’s workshop

Peter Maniura will give a preview of tomorrow’s agenda and assign topics for the workshop.

17:30-18:30 Visit of the Vienna State Opera

In the evening all participants are invited to drinks and dinner to network and get to know each other.

DAY 2: 30 October 2019

09:30-10:45 Keynote Speech and Q+A with John Kieser
The Executive Vice President and Provost at New World Symphony, shares his distinctive expertise in integrating technology + digital into master postgraduate studies.

10:45-11:15 Presentation by Miranda Harmer
Miranda Harmer, Chair at Conservatoires UK Student Network, examines the student's perspective.

11:15-11:30 Break

11:30-12:30 Presentation "Social Media Insights" by Peter Maniura

Peter Maniura examines social media as a creative component of a musician’s portfolio and how it can help achieve visibility + impact.

12:30-13:00 Presentation by Yury Revich
The successful violinist sheds light on the artist's perspective and illustrates how media skills are a key component in his career strategy.

13:00-14:00 Lunch Break

14:00-15:30 Practical Workshop

Participants divide into groups and work together on the assigned practical task.

15:30-16:30 Groups report back

Each group presents their results and findings.

16:30-17:00 Summary and Conclusion
Peter Maniura leads the discussion to summarise what we have learned over the past two days and how this can be applied in our professional lives when we get back home.

17:00-18:00 Good-Bye Drinks
