Aleksey Igudesman and Hyung-ki Joo are two classical musicians who have taken the world by storm with their unique and hilarious theatrical shows, which combine comedy with classical music and popular culture.
BARBARA GESSLER
Head of Unit Creative Europe at European Commission – Directorate General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture
Barbara Gessler has worked for the European Parliament for a MEP and in the European Commission Directorate General’s Unit for Audiovisual Policy before she advised the umbrella organisation of German cultural organisations Deutscher Kulturrat on European affairs. After that, she ran the Culture Unit at the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency which implements the EU's funding programmes in these areas. Since 2017 she is responsible for the culture sub-programme at Directorate General Education, Youth, Sport and Culture.
