2024: IMZ – EBU Workshop: Women in Music and Representation on Screen

This workshop delved into a range of topics, exploring how the performing arts industry has historically received female composers and musicians compared to their male counterparts. The panellists will discussed the evolution of opportunities and representation within the field as well as speculate on future trends in TV and music broadcasting.

This discussion aimed to serve as a platform for dialogue, where panelists reflected on their experiences in promoting female artists, considering the reception of their work by both the industry and the public. They also addressed how their approach to creating productions about female artists differs from those focusing on male figures, discussing the necessary changes to enhance equality and representation in the arts.
