My Favourite Melodies - Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Elīna Garanča

Following episodes with Lang Lang and Víkingur Ólafsson, the documentary series  My Favourite Melodies returns with cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason and opera star Elīna Garanča. Through clips and conversations, Sheku reflects on his playlist, from cello masterpieces, shaped by idols as Jacqueline du Pré, to Bob Marley’s hits. Elīna Garanča, “struck the world like lightning” (The Times) since her 2003 debut in Salzburg with Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito to the celebrated main role of Carmen at Arena di Verona. The inner soul of the Latvian artist goes beyond opera, exploring a musical world made of nature, sacred and folk music.
