“Herbie” celebrates the extraordinary life and career of jazz innovator Herbie Hancock. Built around two long, never-before-seen interviews with him at his home and studio in LA, the musician takes us on a musical and spiritual journey. While exploring his philosophy of life and music, the film traces key milestones : his solo debuts, the transformative collaboration with Miles Davis’s Second Quintet, electric experiments of Mwandishi and Headhunters, as well as his acclaimed film music career.
