Poland - A Musical Self-Portrait

17 February 2026, 14:00 – 15:00 Screening Hall 2

No other country in Europe has experienced as many transformations on the map as Poland. Its territory has varied from expansive to diminished, and it vanished entirely for 123 years. Music has consistently united the populace, acting as both a reflection and a testament to Poland's rich history. But what defines "Polish" music? What makes it special, and who has shaped it?
We encounter contemporary musicians who are now shaping the landscapes of classical, folk, and jazz music. Through their stories, viewers will gain insights into the influences that have molded Polish musical tradition and the inspirations that drive artists today.
